Maya Mokofisi is 24 years old and an alumni from Arizona State University with two bachelors degrees: one in Music Performance and the other in Film & Media Production. Her passion lies in making sounds in all mediums, bridging her love of film and music by becoming an audio editor. Having worked on a plethora of student films and personal projects, Maya also had the opportunity to travel across the pacific ocean and teach Japanese high schoolers about sound design during two summers of her college career. She has also worked on various projects, both as a student and a paid employee ranging from editing, to audio for VR documentaries and VR games, as well as social media content for personal and business use!

Currently, Maya is working on a few different projects, the longest one being with the independent game studio Omens by Blue Light as a volunteer audio lead for their upcoming JRPG. The next large project is Artists Commune of Arizona, a magazine for local creatives in Arizona to showcase their work, find others to collaborate with, and finding ways to find community. In case that wasn’t enough, Maya is also still working on plenty of film and audio projects on the side!
